Artificial intelligence and data governance are rapidly reshaping the banking sector, creating new opportunities for innovation while raising increasingly complex questions around governance, security and regulatory compliance.
Against this backdrop, on 5 August 2026, the Vietnam Banks Association organized the conference "AI & Data Governance in Banking Activities", bringing together regulators, policymakers, banking leaders and technology enterprises. The conference served as a distinguished platform for discussing the future of AI and data governance within Vietnam's banking sector, connecting regulatory developments with practical implementation and industry readiness.
It was a privilege for Data Protectify to contribute to the conference alongside an outstanding panel of experts from the Vietnam National Assembly, the State Bank of Vietnam, and leading banks - through a presentation by Hoàng Hà, DPO & AI Governance, on "The Legal Framework for Data Governance in Banking Activities in Vietnam.", where we examined Vietnam's evolving regulatory framework for data governance and AI.
The conference demonstrated that governance should be viewed not just as a compliance obligation, but also as a strategic enabler of trustworthy innovation – fostering the development of a trusted, resilient, and future-ready digital ecosystem in Vietnam. Data Protectify is honored to contribute to these important discussions and remains committed to advancing practical governance approaches that support innovation while strengthening trust, accountability, and regulatory compliance across the financial sector.
